Wilderness and Remote First Aid

The course provides a foundation of First Aid skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have rapid EMS response (wilderness and remote environments, urban disasters - earthquakes and hurricanes).

There are two prerequisites

      
Possess current adult CPR/AED certification
      Be at least 14 years of age by the last day of the course
There are NO WAIVERS to these prerequisites

   Heat-Related lllnesses
   Lightning
   Altitude Illnesses
   Submersion Incidents
   Allergies and Anaphylaxis

WRFA can be taught by a currently authorized WRFA instructor

The course length is about 16 hours
